Selena Gomez and Kylie Jenner Reunited at Met Gala 2018 With a Sweet Picture

The two allegedly had some drama that went down in 2014. Each year, the Met Gala brings dozens of celebrities all together in one place, which means the chances of celebs running into other famous people they've had history with are high. At this year's event, two women in particular reunited for a sweet photo, which was their first together in years: Selena Gomez and Kylie Jenner.

The two stars reportedly had a falling out years ago that might have been because of one Justin Bieber. In case you forgot Selena and Kylie ever actually were friends, the year was 2014. Back then, Kylie, Kendall Jenner, and Selena frequently went out together — including to Coachella 2014. Kylie captioned a photo on Instagram from the time, "MY FAVORITE PEOPLE 🌼🌺🌸."

But somewhere along the way, things went awry (though you should take all of it with a grain of salt because rumors will be rumors). At the time, Selena was dating Justin on and off. According to "sources," Kylie and Kendall were in contact with Justin during an off-period, and that reportedly caused a rift between Selena and the sisters. (At the time, Us Weekly reported that Selena had "no issue" with the connection.) In addition to that, TMZ reported that Selena allegedly thought Kylie and Kendall were "bad influences," but Kylie and Kendall reportedly thought the same of Selena.

No one involved ever addressed the alleged drama, but it does seem true that Selena unfollowed Kylie at the time. For whatever reason the two did not stay close. But all that might be water under the bridge now, since Kylie and Selena reconnected for photo on the Met Gala red carpet. And fans of the two did not miss what that picture might mean in the context of their tumultuous history. One person tweeted, "SELENA AND KYLIE?!?! I THOUGHT THEY WERE OVER IM DEAD." Another wrote, "kylie jenner and selena gomez together saved my whole life." Maybe these two have decided to let bygones be bygones — at least for the 'gram.
