Bill Cosby will be spending the final days of his life in prison. The jury of the Montgomery County Court delivered a “guilty” verdict following the plethora of sexual assault allegations against the former comedian.
And, as expected, the Cosby Show alum was very unhappy to hear the news. According to a report from BET.com, Bill was so displeased with the verdict that he stood up in court and called the District Attorney an “a*shole.”
CNN claims that Cosby stood up and screamed at Kevin Steele because he suggested his bail should be revoked to avoid having Bill flee the country while he awaits his sentence.Bill Cosby - watched this man be shuffled in and out of court for awhile appearing almost blind and disabled. The gig is up - not too disabled to rant and yell at DA in response to his guilty verdict! https://t.co/PsuV3u8J2z— CLS (@clsgalli) April 26, 2018
The DA argued that there is no amount of money in the world which could guarantee Cosby to stay in the country.
Cosby apparently stood up and said, “I don’t have a private plane, you a*shole!” The judge presiding over the case, Steven O’Neill, stated he wouldn’t be locking up the comedian right away.
The judge said to the DA that he was making a “very big deal” out of an unlikely situation, and improbable because Steven O’Neill noted Cosby has shown up to every court date.
Additionally, Cosby has to be on house arrest while he awaits his punishment. The comedian will wear a GPS tracking device so the police can monitor him.Bill Cosby interrupting post-conviction court proceedings to curse out his prosecutor and yell that he doesn't own a plane is my "quit while you're ahead" cue for this news cycle. As you may know, Cosby was found guilty of all three counts of sexual assault in the case of the 2004 Andrea Constand incident. It was a widely anticipated sentencing.
Each charge upon conviction is worth ten years in prison, however, the sentence can be served simultaneously. Either way, Twitter was over-joyed by the reactions, you can see some of the posts above.
