‘I was not a parent before I did [The Voice.] I did not have a wife. I was just a loose cannon, living in L.A., being crazy. I think The Voice was one of the first times that I had a platform where I could help people out or play a role [as] a mentor. So, it did help me, indirectly, in what inevitably became being a parent, for sure,’ Adam shared.
He went on to say that ‘You realize you have things you can share with other people. It is not so much paternal, you realize your whole life you have lived up to this point, you now have things you can reflect on and help people. That is cool. I think that helps with parenting, somehow.’
Levine also revealed that in his opinion, ‘Girls are better than boys,’ before adding: ‘I did not think I was going to [love fathering daughters,] but I do. I always knew it was going to be the way – I knew I was having girls.’ Wait, how exactly did he know?
‘I have been saying it for twenty years because, you know, past lives and transgressions. I am going to have to work through that. I am a dead man in 15, 16 years, it is over for me. So, that is my fate,’ Adam joked.
