If Kylie Jenner doesn’t post near-constant swimwear snaps on Instagram, is it really even summer? Luckily for us, a few months into her return to social media after the birth of her daughter, Stormi Webster, Kylie is doing just that. The lip-kit maven is currently enjoying a vacation in Turks and Caicos with boyfriend Travis Scott in celebration of Travis’s 26th birthday.
It seems like perfect timing, as the East Coast has only just begun to act its season, reaching temperatures this week that have us dreaming of our budding swimwear collection for the year. And with all those swim trends to navigate, Kylie has given us another to consider: vintage. No word yet on whether this suit also belonged to mom Kris Jenner, as Kylie has been known to steal some of her swimsuits from the ‘80s, giving off a more sporty vibe. With this look, though, Kylie is set for a summer somewhere near the south of France with this more refined couture swimsuit.
On Instagram on Tuesday night, Kylie posted a photo of a view of her back, showing off a bright-red vintage Dior one-piece swimsuit. As Kylie shields her eyes from the sun, gazing into the camera’s lens, the caption reads “MIA.” While she might be physically out of reach for our closet's sake, we are glad she’s still making her fashionable presence known on social media.
If you want to cop Kylie’s style, it might be time to look at e-retailers like The Real Real, Vestaire Collective, and Farfetch in search of a suit that’s actually from a vintage collection. That said, we love brand-new retro silhouettes, too, like Solid & Stripe’s belted maillots, that are new for this summer but feel just as retro as the rest. This might just be our favorite look of the moment when it comes to swimwear.
