“These pockets are expensive!”
Just when you thought you’d seen it all when it comes to confusing denim, one Los Angeles-based brand named Carmar has taken it a step further. As Insider points out, the company is selling a pair of jeans on their website that is simply a waistband, zip-fly, and pockets. There are also seams that run down each leg, and cuffs at the bottom to remind you that you are, indeed, wearing a pair of straight-leg jeans, but it hardly seems comparable. The back? A thong. Because, why wouldn’t it be?
In the past, we’ve seen denim that literally zips in two, mom jeans with clear knee windows, and even a pair made completely of see-through PVC. But, still, this newest addition takes the cake. The oddest part of the entire thing might just be that this particular pair is not the only one of its kind. They look nearly identical to a style that walked the runway at Thibaut in Tokyo in October.

Twitter is currently filling with commentary about the style saying things like, “These pockets are expensive!” and “When you want to go to the beach but denim is life.” Yet another shared, “Pay more for less.”
