‘Counting On’ Fans Are Concerned For Lauren Swanson After This Bizarre Video With Josiah Duggar

Counting On star Josiah Duggar married Lauren Swanson just a couple of weeks ago, so you would think that the newlyweds would be over the moon. But, in their first YouTube video as a married couple, Swanson looked nervous and out of breath as she thanked fans in a scripted statement. Why did the 19-year-old look so terrified in the bizarre video?

Duggar and Swanson got married in Siloam Springs, Arkansas, at the John Brown University Cathedral of the Ozarks on June 30th, in a ceremony that Swanson’s father, Dwain, officiated. Jana Duggar and Anna Duggar handmade the eight bridesmaid’s dresses, and the ceremony had a romantic theme with wood, iron, and flowers. They also chose multiple colors for their wedding, including the combinations of blue and gray, pink and olive, plus white and green.

At the reception, the guests ate a heart-shaped wedding cake along with candy and cupcakes. In a joint statement, Josiah and Lauren said it was a “joy to be husband and wife,” and added that their “wedding day was absolutely perfect.”

Josiah is the seventh Duggar kid to get married – following Josh, Jill, Jessa, Jinger, Joy-Anna, and Joseph –, and he and his bride told People Magazine that their parents gave them advice before they tied the knot.

The young couple said their families emphasized the importance of keeping Christ central in their marriage because it is the most important thing they can do to ensure their marriage stays healthy, strong, and able to “withstand all the ups and downs of life.”

Josiah added that his family encouraged him to look for every opportunity to serve his wife, and to put her first ahead of himself. Lauren said that her parents told her to be Josiah’s biggest fan, and to offer him encouragement and support. They also told her to be his biggest cheerleader, and to always think the best, and never to assume the worst.

So far, Josiah has been the only Duggar kid to have more than one courtship before getting married. Back in 2015, the 21-year-old courted Marjorie Jackson for a few months before they called it quits. Since her relationship with Josiah ended, Jackson has been doing big things – including traveling the world, going to college, and wearing pants.

Jackson also has a new baby brother named Grant. Earlier this week she posted on Instagram that she immediately “hit it off” with her new sibling, and after 24 hours he hasn’t left her arms. She also wrote in the caption that she had fought her four sisters who have attempted to take him away.
