Lively looked absolutely stunning on the Met Gala red carpet while slaying a beaded Atelier Versace dress.
But while that definitely turned a lot of heads, the star opted to change things up a bit for an after-party and wore a white button-up shirt, a Versace plaid mini skirt and accessorized with a pair of matching thigh-high boots.
According to Blake, her sizzling party style was inspired by Britney Spears!
During an interview with Vanity Fair, the Gossip Girl actress revealed: ‘The only reason we went to after parties was just so we could change clothes. The theme was Catholic . . . the [red carpet look] was more historic, but you just gotta do a Catholic schoolgirl [at the after-party].’
‘Any way I can get Britney woven in. There is actually a funny picture with me and [director] Reed [Morano], we look like a Britney tribute show. I look like ‘Baby One More Time’ Britney, and she is ‘Circus’ Britney. You know when they do the [Britney] tribute shows, and there is the different Britneys?’ Lively went on, excited.
Finally, last night, the actress decided to post the pic of the said outfit she rocked at the after-parties.
‘When you and your date look like a full on Britney tribute show…’ she captioned the very fashionable Insta pic.
But not only did she get inspired by Britney when picking an outfit, Lively also paid tribute to her family through her initial look.
On the red carpet, she accessorized with a sparkly custom-made handbag that featured the family name, as well as the initials of her husband Ryan Reynolds and daughters Ines, 1, and James, 3.
