Boyfriend Who Stabbed Morgan Freeman’s Granddaughter To Death, Found Not Guilty Of Second Degree Murder!

E’Dena Hines’ ex, who stabbed her to death no less than 25 times was found not guilty! As you may be aware, she was Morgan Freeman’s granddaughter, and she died back in 2015.

Lamar Davenport was charged with second-degree murder at the time, and despite the fact that many eyewitnesses saw the 33-year-old stab E’Dena to death right in front of their apartment building, on May 7, he was declared not guilty of second-degree murder.

However, Lamar was found guilty of manslaughter due to the fact that his defense team argued he was not in control of his actions.

Apparently, when he killed Morgan Freeman’s granddaughter, he was in a ‘drug-induced psychosis brought on by his use of PCP.’

Therefore, the man ‘suffered delusions he was releasing demons from her body.’
This is what defense expert Jeremy Colley argued back in April.

Colley also stated that there is ‘evidence that [Lamar] lacked substantial capacity to appreciate the nature and cons of his conduct and appreciate the wrongfulness. I do not think he appreciated the reality he was inflicting wounds that could lead to her death.’

He went on to argue against the prosecution trying to prove that Lamar murdered her out of jealousy and rage.

Sure enough, witnesses confirmed that he was shouting Bible verses during the murder.

‘I love you. I always loved you. God would have wanted this,’ he also said during the heinous act.

‘His releasing demons had absolutely nothing to do with their prior tension in their relationship … The theme of his delusions were about redemption — not about killing, not about murder,’ the defense team stated.

If he had been found guilty of second-degree murder, he would be now facing 25 years in prison.
