‘Counting On’ Stars Jessa Duggar And Ben Seewald Ready To Add Baby No 3?

Even though Counting On star Jessa Duggar recently shut down rumors that she was pregnant with baby number three, fans still believe that she is expecting – just in a different way than they originally thought. Duggar and her husband, Ben Seewald, have talked about adopting a baby since they married in November 2014. Could the parents of Spurgeon, 2, and Henry, 1, finally be going through the adoption process?

A fan on Reddit recently suggested that the Seewalds could currently be trying to adopt, and others quickly supported the theory.

“I definitely think so,” said a user. “They’ve been talking about adoption since the beginning, and I think they understand that it will be easier to do now with only two children than later when they have however many more.”

Another thought that Duggar and Seewald could be concerned about solving Henry’s allergy issues, and that could be God’s way of telling them to wait and adopt.

According to In Touch Weekly, that theory could make sense since Duggar gave birth to her second son over a year ago and has yet to announce another pregnancy. That time gap between babies is a lot longer than people expected. And, they revealed in an interview last year that they did still have adoption on the brain, and it was something that they continued to investigate.

The young couple actually looked into adoption before Duggar got pregnant with Spurgeon, but they put the process on hold when they found out their first baby was on the way.

A few years ago, on Counting On, Duggar said that adoption counselors told her to wait until Spurgeon was nine months old before adopting. But, she got pregnant with Henry when Spurgeon was only six months old, so that set them back even longer.


The adoption rumors are purely speculation at this point, but one thing Duggar has made clear to fans is that she isn’t pregnant. This past week on Instagram, the 25-year-old posted a picture in the typical fashion of a baby bump selfie. But instead of announcing a pregnancy, she silenced her haters.

She captioned the photo by writing that she is posting the pic because people keep asking if she is hiding a baby bump. Duggar said that she is, but one that is shrinking, not growing. She then added the hashtags #postpartum, #baggyshirts, and #thanksforasking.

Fan reaction was mixed because of Jessa Duggar’s apparent attitude. They think that the reality star should understand that because her family is famous for having babies, she shouldn’t be surprised or annoyed by people asking her about a possible pregnancy.
