In her upcoming movie, sex is one of the core themes so she doesn’t think that older women should refrain from sexual intercourse.
However, she’s just not interested in it anymore. But, with that said, it doesn’t mean other people have to do the same, of course.
Her latest film, Book Club, is slated for release on the 18th of May, and Fonda claimed the story revolves around “friendship and sex.” It’s ok for women of her age group to do both, as they please, Fonda explained.
As for her life in recent years, Fonda admitted she no longer dates but did a few years ago. And her new movie was an interesting look at her experiences of later life. Book Club features some of the most iconic female actresses in Hollywood, including Diane Keaton, Candice Bergen, and Mary Steenburgen.
In Book Club, the characters read “Fifty Shades Of Grey,” and experience a sexual re-awakening because of it. As you may know, the romantic novel which hit shelves a few years ago was a worldwide sensation, selling millions of copies, making it comparable to the total sales of Twilight.
As for her relationships these days, Fonda said she loves her man, Richard Perry, and sees him as she used to thirty years ago.
Previously, Fonda admitted that at seventy-four-years-old, she had an incredibly fulfilling sex life. In the past, as a young woman, she was too insecure to know what she really wanted.
