It sounds like Kris Jenner was there for the comedian when her scandal exploded as well as after. As you may be aware, Kathy Griffin received a lot of backlash for a very controversial photo shoot of her holding a bloody mannequin head made to look like Donald Trump!
Thankfully for the shunned funny woman, Kris Jenner proved to be a true friend.
Now, almost a year after her scandal, Kathy Griffin is opening up about the backlash she received at the time.
During her appearance on Wendy Williams’ talk show, Griffin also revealed who stayed by her side during that crisis in her life.
That being said, it seems like, while other famous friends did not want to be associated with her, momager Kris Jenner was her ride or die!
The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star was actually there for her in person whenever she needed her, supporting her morally and giving her advice.
According to Kathy, when the scandal broke, she was having dinner with Kris and actress Melanie Griffin.
‘We’d planned the dinner for a month or so but I thought, what a perfect couple of gals to like talk me through that night. Because I was really a wreck. I was laughing, crying, trying to figure everything out. And I thought, well Kris Jenner has been through everything,’ Griffin told the host.
So Kris was literally there from the very beginning and honestly, due to the reasons the comedian also mentioned, she was the perfect ‘crisis manager!’
Imitating Jenner, Kathy went on: ‘And she is eating and she is like, ‘Apologize. Just apologize, our family does it all the time.’ You know, she is cha-ching, cha-ching.’
