Adidas intends to stand by their main-man Kanye West following his recent disastrous interview on TMZ. When Bloomberg Television spoke with the CEO, Kasper Rorsted, he claimed that they had no intentions of dropping the Yeezy designer from their roster.
The executive spoke with reporters and praised Kanye as a “fantastic creator,” and said his way of doing things has been an incredible addition to their business strategy.
When pressed upon how much the company makes from their partnership with Kanye, he didn’t reveal such details, but the CEO did admit that Kanye’s partnership with Adidas does a lot for their brand.
The CEO admitted that last year they did $25 billion in revenue, so their company is vast; they do a lot of business. Their relationship with Kanye is part of the reason they succeed at the level they do in the United States.
During an interview on Thursday, the Adidas exec stated that Kanye is part of the reason why they were able to experience such a significant comeback in the United States.
Additionally, Kanye tweeted in the past month that his company is the “second fastest growing” company in the history of the world. Although, his statements haven’t been fact-checked.
As the world knows by now, Kanye has been in serious trouble with the intelligentsia and his cohorts in the black and hip-hop community.
Some of his acquaintances including Eve, Jamie Foxx, will.I.am, and Chris Brown have vehemently slammed his choice of words during the rapper’s appearance on the tabloid talk show.
