Jada Pinkett-Smith revealed she and Gabrielle Union had an unspoken feud for almost twenty years, 17 to be precise. Jada is currently in the middle of promoting her Facebook show, Red Table Talk,
and during a sneak preview, she explained that Union and she weren’t “on the best of terms for seventeen years,” but eventually came to a reconciliation.
However, the wife of Will Smith didn’t disclose the origins of their problems which began nearly two decades ago. But as you may know, many in the gossip world have speculated it had something to do with Union getting a part in Will Smith’s movie, Bad Boys II.
According to a report from Gossip in the City, the speculation shared between fans may actually be right. The website reported that when Union got hired to be in the movie, she immediately was a favorite of everyone on set.
The website alleges that her overnight success really bothered Pinkett-Smith, and to make matters worse, people began stating that Union and Will “looked great together” on screen.
Bad Boys came out in 2003 and was probably in its production stages for two or three years before that, making the timeline of seventeen years correct.
Moreover, Union went on to get a few good roles in other movies in the early 2000’s, while Jada’s career wasn’t the greatest.
With all that said, some fans are finding it hard to believe that Jada could be so petty about something, but to give her credit, both stars were in their twenties at the time.
Either way, all of the stories Jada has released lately has her fans excited for Red Table Talk, which she intends to host with her 17-year-old daughter, Willow Smith and Adrienne Banfield-Norris.
