Nene Leakes Wants To Open Her Own Dollar Store After Revealing That She Purchases Her Wine Glasses And Plates There

When you think of Nene Leakes you wouldn’t say that she does anything on a budget. As she will tell you herself, she’s “very rich.” However, when it comes to throwing one of her lavish house parties, the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star has a secret weapon: the dollar store.

It may not be surprising to know that some of your favorite celebrities actually love a good bargain. Everyone from Kourtney Kardashian to the Queen Bey herself has been spotted at Target.

As much as Target is a shopper’s delight among the famous and non-famous, it’s not a place that you’ll catch Nene Leakes.

The reality star sat down with an interview for In Style where she revealed: “I’m not into Target. I go to the Dollar Store. I love it there. I really wish I could open one up.”

That sounds like an amazing idea!

She goes on to explain why she loves the place you’re able to get most things for $1 or less.

“If you want some good-ass wine glasses, you go to the Dollar Store. Most wine glasses are very thin and break when you put them in the dishwasher. Well honey, the Dollar Store has got some thick ones, same with martini glasses. Whenever I have a party at my house, I go buy boxes of plain white plates there too,” she adds.

You’re not the only one who is surprised to hear about her affordable hack, apparently, cashiers are taken back when they see the 50-year-old.

“The sales person always looks at me and goes, ‘Oh my gosh, that’s NeNe Leakes at the Dollar Store!’ I’m like, don’t worry about me. You can have all of this expensive stuff at your party, but your guests will be eating off of Dollar Store plates and they don’t even know it,”
